KAP Improvement Proposal 2 (KIP-2) is now live for voting on Snapshot, here. This proposal requests the DAO’s consideration for the formal nomination of Playground Labs LLC (https://www.playgroundlabs.io/) as the set of core contributors for this first era of the Kapital DAO, and allocates funding to support continued core protocol development over the next two years. Playground Labs will be contracted to perform continuous core development and maintenance.

Playground Labs

Playground Labs has been instrumental in the research and development of KAP Games’ guild management protocol. Today, the protocol is currently live and managing thousands of scholars. If this proposal is approved, Playground Labs will formally be the KAP Games’ core team for the next two years. After the end of those two years, a new vote will be held by the DAO to either a) continue disbursing treasury resources to Playground Labs to fund further development or b) choose new core contributors.

Rationale

Contracting this team and allocating funds to continue the development of the software is advisable for the continued successful execution of KAP Games’ objectives and continued differentiation among competitors. A “yes” vote on this proposal implies support for this proposal to nominate Playground Labs LLC as the set of core contributors for this era, and a “no” vote on this proposal implies rejection of this proposal and the wish for another group to take over as the new core contributing team.
